Are you using iPads, Galaxy Tablets or other mobile devices in your classroom? Do you have a personal mobile device and want to learn how to find education-friendly apps? Come learn how to find apps for any content area and get a chance to learn how to use them. In this hands-on workshop, we will explore a multitude of education friendly, content-based resources for your mobile device for multiple grade levels and subject areas. Other websites and online resources will also be shown, like app finder apps, utility apps and apps your students can use in 1:1 environments. The afternoon of day two will be an App Shootout of the presenters and other daring participants. So get your game on and get ready for a fun filled, two day Appy Hour!

Help your students create their own digital stories by experiencing the process yourself. This three-day workshop teaches the pre-production, production and post-production phases of digital storytelling. You will have an opportunity to use either iMovie for the iPad or various Android apps. The workshop is a cross between a writer’s workshop and a movie-making symposium. Bring a story to share, or select from one of the stories provided. Walk away with your own 2-3 minute movie and lots of ideas about how to help students create one.

This workshop is designed for teachers who have iPads, but want to find out how to better integrate them into the classroom for projects and learning.
