Restorative Practices provide a  mindset, system and process that will (1) restore the relationships between those whose behavior has harmed others and those harmed; (2) provide a pathway for re-entry after suspension in ISS or OSS;  (3) reduce the drop-out rate, the suspension rate, and the disparity between black and white student suspensions.

CharacterPlus will provide support for a growing movement among member districts to research, develop and implement Restorative Discipline Practices by developing a series of national speakers, local experts, and networking that increases knowledge and skills in Restorative Practices. The goal is to develop a continuing series of trainings that lead to Certification in Restorative Practices by 2017.
